Turn an old phone into a dog cam.
Prop a spare phone where your dog rests, or open a laptop. Your own phone shows how your dog is doing while you're out: settled, watch or come back now.
Free on iPhone and Android. A laptop works as the camera in the browser.

Is your dog anxious when you leave?
The same camera can help. Toodles' alone-time plan uses short, planned absences that end before the panic, and the camera tells you when to come back. Most dogs need weeks to months.

Questions
Good to know
Does the old phone need to stay plugged in?+
Yes, for anything longer than a short errand. The camera phone stays awake with its screen dimmed so it can keep watching, and that uses battery steadily. Toodles reminds you to plug it in when you start.
Is it private? Where do the photos go?+
The camera turns sound and movement into levels on the device. Toodles doesn't record audio or video. With Premium, the live photo goes to your phone during the session and is deleted when the session ends. The absence log keeps levels and states, never photos.
Which old phones work?+
An iPhone on iOS 16 or later, or an Android phone on Android 7 or later. On an iPhone with iOS 17 or later, the card also shows posture, head, ears and an estimated tail.
Can I use a laptop as the camera?+
Yes. Open toodles.dog/cam in the laptop's browser and type the code from your phone. A laptop shows sound, movement and the three states; posture needs an iPhone camera.
Is watching really free?+
Yes. Watching live in the app is free: the dog card, Watch and Come back now on screen while the app is open, and today's absences. Premium adds push alerts with your phone in your pocket, the live photo every 5 seconds, every absence back to day one, and the training plan.
What if the Wi-Fi drops?+
The camera keeps about the last 30 seconds and sends them when it reconnects. Your phone shows that it's reconnecting, so you're never looking at an old reading without knowing it.
